Payworks Coach of the Month

Tim Toews has been a dedicated volleyball coach at Calvin Christian for 25+ years. In his time here, he has coached both Junior High and High School boys and girls. He has also been involved in the club volleyball program, where his focus has been on providing extra training and competition for athletes who might not otherwise make a club program.

This year, due to a coaching shortage at the school, Tim has been coaching both our Gr. 8 girls and our JV boys team. This means many nights Tim is in the gym for 4 or 5 hours a night. With his girls team, he has focused on skill development and encouraging kids to be their best. His JV boys teams finished 1st this year in KPAC league play, and as of this writing is preparing to host the JV Boys KPAC final. This team has been ranked in the top 5 of AAA all year. In addition to his coaching of two teams, he has also helped manage our JV Girls team that is being coached by his daughter.
