Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Sarah Lawton of the Sanford Sabres basketball team.

One of the captains of the team, Lawton helped her team earn a sport in the AAA Provincial Championships.  Coach Kelli Sinnock states, "Sarah has been a consistent shooter throughout the season and made five 3-point shots in the final game to help the Sabres earn their spot in the championship. Sarah has been an outstanding teammate and role model".   She also helped lead the Sabres to a Zone 4 Championship and championships at the Stonewall, Ste. Anne, and Sanford tournaments this season.

This grade 12 student maintains an 94% academic average.
