Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Trey Penner of the Souris Sabres basketball team.

Penner recently led his team to Gold at the Provincial A/AA JV basketball Championships where he averaged 43 points per game and was named the Championship MVP.  Coach Trever Penner states, "Trey is one of the hardest working players you will find.  He is passionate about the game and shows tremendous leadership skills on the court while enjoying every second he gets to spend with his teammates".  

In grade 10, he maintains a 91% academic average.
