Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Sawyer Lambourne of the Teulon Saints badminton team.

This 5’9” mixed doubles player finished second at Carman, while winning the Stonewall, Maples, Louis Riel and Zone 5 Championships.  Coach Rod Ledochowski states, “Sawyer just loves the game of badminton, he could play it day and night. When someone likes the game that much it makes him easy to coach. Hard work has paid off for Sawyer this year with him and his partners having success. Sawyer was able to win 2 major tournaments with different partners, which is no easy task.”

This Grade 12 student maintains an 85% average, while also participating in cross country, volleyball, curling, and track.
