Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Ben Kirton of the Linden Christian Wings hockey team.

This 6’1” right wing leads the team with 25 goals and 14 assists and was chosen to play on this year’s WHSHL All-Star team. He played a large role in helping his team to a fourth place finish in regular season play.  Coach Adam Zacharias states, “Ben has come up big game after game and leads the team by exemplifying hard work each time he's on the ice”.

In grade 11, he maintains a 75% academic average, while also participating in basketball, soccer, and track & field.
