Manitoba's Credit Unions Scholar Athlete

Caitlin Wilkinson of Ste. Rose School – participated in Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Volleyball, Curling, Basketball, Badminton, Baseball and Track.   She was named MHSAA Athlete of the Week in January 2015, and was the captain of her soccer, basketball, and volleyball teams.  She is the editor of her schools year book, is on the grad banquet committee, participates in band and also coached junior Volleyball and Basketball.  Caitlin maintains a 96% average while also playing club volleyball, and baseball, is a 4-H member, and volunteers as an assistant with the Skate Canada Program for the past eight years.

Caitlin States: “By participating in sports at school, I have developed many positive relationships with fellow teammates, as well as opponents.  Team sports have taught me to be empathetic towards others, and to have respect for myself, my team and my opponents.  I believe that high school sports builds character and teaches self-discipline, as well as values and good sportsmanship. High school sport has shaped me into a motivating role model for my peers.”
