Payworks Coach of the Month

Justin Steeves, head coach of the John Taylor Pipers Hockey team has been selected as SUBWAY Urban High School Coach of the Month for February. Steeves and co-coach Gavin McLachlan, have worked diligently with a group of players who, as a young team last season, finished 8-14 (finishing in 11th place). This year saw an amazing turn around, after a very slow start, the Pipers went on to capture the Winnipeg League Championship-first hockey championship at John Taylor in approximately 25 years. The Team then went out this past week to capture the 2013 Milk High School Hockey “AAAA” Provincial Championship.
