Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Tiffany Ortega of the St. James Jimmies basketball team.

This starting point guard for the Jimmies, is a huge part of the team’s success and helped lead her team to win the Stonewall Invitational Tournament. Coach Ashley Van Aggelen states, “Tiffany put up 26 points, had 7 assists and 5 steals against Linden Christian in the Quarter Finals followed by another huge offensive game against Neelin in the semi's where she drained another 25 points, had 5 assists and 4 steals. Tiffany played with a competitive edge in the finals against Dauphin and although she put up another 13 points her defense led her team to a 46-34 1st place finish."

This grade 11 student maintains a 95% academic average and participated on the school volleyball team.
