A Boys Athlete of the Year

Alex participated in golf, volleyball, hockey, basketball, baseball, and track & field. He was team captain for his volleyball team as well as a graduating all-star, provincial all-star, and silver medalist. He was this hockey team’s captain, top defenceman, won the Players Choice Award and was a bronze medalist at Provincials. In basketball he co-captained the team, was a graduating all-star, and was named an MHSAA Athlete of the Week. He won the Bronze in javelin at this year’s Provincial Track & Field Championships. Alex was a leader in organizing, participating, and officiating the intramural program at school. He has helped at the local arena as a minor official for many minor hockey games, and he also plays U18 baseball out of Holland all while maintaining an 80% academic average.
