Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Hudson Parnell of the Sturgeon Heights Huskies Hockey team.

Parnell, an assistant captain for the Huskies has averaged over a point per game scoring 7 goals and adding 5 assists in 8 games.  Most recently he had a 4-goal game against the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes. His efforts are not limited to the ice as he was also an instrumental part of the Huskies football teams run to the league finals. he hopes to defend as Provincial Lacrosse Champion later this spring for the Huskies. Coach Tyler Metcalfe states, “Huddy is a perfect example of a well-rounded student-athlete excelling in multiple sports and all the while maintaining strong academic standing in his studies.”

In grade 12, he maintains an 83% academic average.
