Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Stellan Chammartin of the Gabrielle-Roy Les Roys basketball team.

Chammartin, a point guard, has led Les Roys to 6-0 record in January, which included winning the Green Valley tournament.  Earlier this year he also helped lead his team to a 3rd place finish at the Sanford EarlyCat tournament where he was selected as an all-star.  He has been averaging 32 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 steals per game. Coach Matthew Chammartin states, "Stellan plays with great energy and effort on the defensive end and is an excellent playmaker and scorer on the offensive end." 

This Grade 10 student maintains an 96% academic average.
