Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Sam Adesuyi of the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes basketball team.

Adesuyi is the captain and leader of the Buckeyes team. This season he has been averaging 30 points and 11 rebounds a game on 44% shooting from the floor. Recently he posted a 42 point game as well as a game with a triple double with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists to go along with 7 steals. Coach Jonathan Janzen states, "Sam is an absolute pleasure to have on the team. He does anything the team needs as both the offensive leader and a defensive force. Sam continues to motivate his team and push others to improve".

In grade 12, he maintains a 90% academic average.
