Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Haynen Bighetty of the Frontier Raiders basketball team.

Bighetty led the Raiders to gold at the 2023 A/AA JV Provincial Basketball Championships.  During the Championships he was name player of the game against Virden and to the all-star team being selected as the Championship MVP. Athletic Director Nik Rusak states, "Haynen has had a very strong basketball season being a leader on both the Junior and Senior Varisty teams for Frontier Collegiate, helping both teams to a 12-3 & 11-5 record respectively.  Haynen puts forth his best efforts in the classroom working towards the ultimate goal of graduation and moving onto post-secondary".  

This grade 10 student also participates on the school's cross country, soccer and track & field teams.
