Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Taylor Schepp of the Dakota Lancer Basketball team.

Schepp was the bonafide leader of the Dakota JV Girls Basketball team who won the Provincial AAAA Junior Varsity Basketball Championship. She scored 54 points in the Final to lead her team in defeating a previously undefeated Maples team by a score of 74-67. Athletic Director Ryan Hudson states, "She is intelligent, and combined with her solid work ethic on and off the court, she is successful in everything she sets her mind to. Each day before school, she wakes up early to shoot around and work on her skills. She defines the notion that hard work pays off".

This grade 10 student maintains a 97% academic average.
