Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athletes of the Week are Sydney Last and Randie Doell of the Carman Cougars badminton team.

Last & Doell are undefeated for far this season as a Girls Doubles team.  They won the girls doubles title at both the Carman and the Maples tournaments, winning 8 straight matches this past weekend at Maples on their way to the championship.  Coach James Ballantyne states, "Sydney and Randie are multisport athletes who are committed to every sport they play.  They are first to the gym for practice or open gym and have worked hard in preparation for this badminton season.  Sydney and Randie are competitors who play a smart game leading to their success."

Both in grade 12 average over 85% and are on the school honour role.
