Morris School Varsity Girls Volleyball (1996-1998)

The 1996-97 Morris Mavericks varsity girls’ volleyball team was undefeated in Zone 4 league and playoffs. They participated in and won 4 Invitational tournaments and were finalists in another tournament. They went undefeated in AA provincials that year with 2 athletes receiving Provincial All-Star recognition and another selected championship MVP. They also had 2 athletes selected to participate in the Graduating All-Star game that year. The team’s overall record that season was 42-5.

The following school year in 1997-98 the team was again undefeated in Zone 4 league and playoffs. They participated in and won 5 Invitational tournaments and were a finalist in another. The team successfully repeated as AA Provincial Champion again going undefeated in the championship. The team was recognized with 4 athletes being named Provincial All-Stars and another athlete receiving championship MVP recognition. They had 4 athletes selected to participate in the Graduating All-Star game that year. Overall, that season the team posted a record of 45-4.
