Daryl Ford of Glenboro School

Daryl has coached Track & Field, Badminton, Basketball, Golf, Fast Pitch, and Football over his school sport coaching career.

He was Zone 6 president for four years. He was inducted into the Manitoba Volleyball Hall of Fame as a builder in 2008, was named the Manitoba Volleyball Association’s Developmental Coach of the Year and coached several Graduating All-Star Volleyball teams. The MHSAA awarded him with the Peter Dick Award for Coaching Excellence in 2008, and he was the Zone 6 Volunteer of the Year in 1998.

Daryl has appeared at MHSAA Provincial Championships over 32 times and took home five Provincial Championship banners. He has hosted several Provincial Championships, as well as Zone Championships.

In addition to his high school sport career, he helped lead the University of Winnipeg Men’s Volleyball team to a gold medal in 2007 and a silver in 2008.  He was the head coach of the Lakeland College Men’s Volleyball team from 2009 – 2012.
