Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Andrew Hladun of the Lord Selkirk Royals baseball team.

In nine games this year Hladun has gone 11 for 19 with 9 walks, 8 doubles, a triple, and 12 RBI's. He has also scored 13 runs while stealing 6 bases.  In a must win game against River East this past week, he pitched three no hit innings to lead the Royals to victory. Coach Michael Buffie States "Andrew has been a force on the diamond this year.  He has been hitting for a high average and for power and has been a catalyst for our team's offence and leads the team in all offensive categories. He has been doing all this while playing an elite level defence at shortstop and second base". 

He maintains a 91% academic average while in grade 12.
