Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Taryn Cabak of the Vincent Massey Trojans soccer team.

Cabak helped lead the team to a 2-1 victory in a shootout over Oak Park in the city Championship, then followed that up leading the Trojans to a Provincial title.  She was named the Provincial MVP for her efforts.   Athletic Director Stacy Hawash states, "Taryn has been a force to be reckoned with in both the indoor and outdoor soccer season. She has been our team captain all year and continually displays leadership qualities on and off the field. She is a wonderful communicator, and fully committed despite her busy schedule outside of school. She is kind towards her teammates and is able to rally them when needed to step up during a game. She has a no quit style of play and gives her all every minute she is on the field. She is versatile and can play any position we put her in". 

This grade 12 student maintains an outstanding 99% academic average.
