A Girls Athlete of the Year

Sienna Gudnason of Glenboro School participated in golf, cross country, volleyball, basketball, badminton, fast pitch, and track & field. She was captain of her volleyball team and co-captain of her basketball team. She was a Volleyball Manitoba Graduating All-Star, a Basketball Manitoba Graduating All-Star, Provincial A Basketball Champion, and a Zone 6 volleyball and cross-country champion. Sienna was a scorekeeper for volleyball and basketball, coached middle years volleyball, was the student council sports representative, and is a member of the Westman Wave Volleyball Club. Sienna is a great team player and is very well respected by her fellow teammates and coaches. She will be attending Lake Region State College in Devils Lake, North Dakota where she will be playing volleyball. Her coach states that Sienna is willing to sacrifice her own personal accolades and success if it means success for the team. She is always willing to help her teammates out, as well as coaches the younger students in the school. She maintains an academic average of 95%.
