AAAA Girls Athlete of the Year

Kyu Fust of Dakota Collegiate maintained an 83% academic average and participated in volleyball, basketball, and fast pitch. Her basketball team won back-to-back AAAA Provincial Basketball Championship where she was named Provincial MVP at both championships. In 2023 she was ranked first in the Winnipeg Free Press Coaches Poll, named Basketball Manitoba’s player of the year, South Central Athletic Conference’s MVP, and MVP at several basketball tournaments. Kyu was the captain of the school’s basketball and volleyball team, participates in club basketball, and was also a member of the schools Dragon Boat Team. She is active in the community by volunteering her time with co-op education inclusive sports and coaching at the grassroots level. Kyu will be attending the University of Regina in fall.
