Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Mitchell Strilchuk of the Vincent Massey Trojans volleyball team.

Strilchuk helped lead the VMC Trojans to the championship of the 56th Annual University of Winnipeg Wesmen high school volleyball invitational.    During the tournament he helped lead the teams defense and serve receive.   Coach Marshall Jones states "He has quickly demonstrated that he will be amongst the Provinces top Libero's this year.   Mitchell is a talented serve receiver and exceptional defender.  He is a very cerebral player who asks lots of great questions and is always attempting to improve his play and his teams play.   Mitchell is a pleasure to coach and I believe he has a bright future ahead of him in the sport of volleyball."

Maintaining a 99% academic average this grade 12 student also participates in the school concert and jazz bands.
