Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Brooklyn Claeys of the Deloraine Colts volleyball team.

This 5’8, left side hitter led the Colts to the Championship of the Glenboro Invitational this past weekend and to the finals of their home tournament earlier this season.  Principal Tony Franklin states, "Brooklyn had an outstanding tournament for her Deloraine Colts as they beat out the home team, Glenboro Panthers, to capture the A side finals.  Brooklyn played with a quiet confidence, leading the team in serve receive with a 2.93. Serve percentage was 92%, causing difficulty for all opponents. Brooklyn had 68 kills, and made the tournament winning kill for her team. She will continue to be a leader for her team."

In grade 12 she maintains a 97% academic average.
