Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Liam Palmer of the Garden City Gophers cross country team.

Palmer a member of the varsity boys cross country team placed first in all three of the KPAC cross country meets this year.  At the Provincial Cross Country Championships at the Asessippi Ski Resort, he continued his winning streak claiming the overall gold medal in the varsity boys category.  Athletic Director Jacqueline McDonald states, "Liam is also a decorated indoor and outdoor track athlete assisting the team in winning their back to back MHSAA AAAA Provincial Outdoor Track Banners."

This grade 11 French Immersion student also participates on the school ultimate and track & field teams.
