Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Kara Bomback of the Major Pratt Trojans volleyball team in Russell.

Bomback has been instrumental in the Lady Trojan's success to date.  Most recently her leadership on the court led to the Trojans capturing the title at the Red River Valley Invitational. Coach Tanya Thompson states, "Kara's ability to read the opponent's blockers consistently put her hitters in a one on one situation.  It was this that ultimately led the team to capture the tournament title".  Earlier this year she has also led the Trojans to titles at the Goose Lake and Elton Invitationals.

In grade 12, she maintains a 98% academic average and is co-president of the Student Council.
