Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Michael Hwang of the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes volleyball team.

Hwang performed at an exceptional level at the St. Vital Invitational tournament, leading the Buckeyes to a strong top 6 finish. Michael played in all 7 games and finished the tournament with over 60 digs and passing a 2.12 for the tournament. Coach Dustin Ross states, "He is a leader both on and off the court and his teammates regularly rallied around some of his impact plays".

This grade 12 student maintains an average above 90% in the demanding IB program while also being involved in many community initiatives through the school.
