Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is David Lemoine of the Gabrielle Roy Les Roys volleyball team.

This left side led his team in kills and in passing accuracy at the 40-team Neelin Spartan DIG. Lemoine's efforts helped his team capture the tournament championship and earned him all-star recognition.  He followed that up leading his team to the Zone 13 AA Championship.  Coach Michel Lavergne states, "He is an integral part of the team’s leadership core and drives the team's offence through his explosive play at the net. He is a gifted athlete, and his agility and quickness are essential assets for his team. His excellence on the court is also the result of total dedication and hard work. He has continually bettered his skills by partaking in any and every volleyball camp he finds. Moreover, David is a student of the game. He brings an analytical approach to his game on and off the court".   

This grade 11 student also excels in the classroom where he maintains an academic average of 91%.
