Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Halle Duncan of the Reston Tigers volleyball team,

This 5'10" Middle was a huge part of the Reston Tigers winning their Provincial Qualifier this past weekend earning them a berth in the "A" Provincial Volleyball Championships in Fisher River November 30-December 1. During the qualifiers she led her team in kills (27) blocks (14) & aces (11) over the three matches they played. She was also instrumental in Reston capturing the Zone 9 Championship and tournament wins at Hamiota and Deloraine.  Coach Kurtis Callander states, "Halle is fierce competitor on the court but always smiles and laughs off the court". 

This grade 11 student shares her volleyball knowledge coaching the junior high boys team in Reston and maintains an 87% academic average.  During the year she also participates in badminton and curling at the school.
