Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Rylan Veenendaal of the Immanuel Christian Falcons volleyball team.

He led the Falcons to a 7-1 league record and victory in their provincial qualifier match earning a berth to the Provincial JV Volleyball Championships in The Pas. He also led the team to championships at the Gimli and Warren Invitational tournaments, as well as the second-place trophy at the Falcon Invitational. Coach Kenton Slaa states, "Rylan is a critical contributor for the ICS Falcons JV Volleyball team all year long, serving as one of our team captains. He’s a dominant player on the court and demonstrates leadership by encouraging those around him".

This grade 10 athlete is also an excellent student maintaining a 90% academic average.
