Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Mia Delaquis of the Balmoral Hall Blazers volleyball Team.

Delaquis was instrumental in leading the Blazers to a berth at the Provincial AAA Volleyball Championships in Dauphin.  She led her Blazer teammates to the quarter finals and was named the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Players Choice Award Recipient by her peers participating in the championship. Athletic Director Chera Mikos states, "Mia has been pivotal to a strong Balmoral Hall Blazers varsity squad. Her leadership on and off the court has helped the Blazers finish in the top 4 of every tournament they have played. Mia is the type of player who can score at will and this ability to terminate on points is what sets her apart from the competition".

In grade 12 she is on the student council and maintains an academic average of 90%.
