Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Jane McLean of the Glenboro Panthers volleyball team.

McLean, was instrumental in helping lead the Panthers to the Silver Medal at the “A” Volleyball Provincials, held in Fisher River.  She was chosen by her fellow competitors at the Championship as the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Player's Choice award recipient, an award that recognizes leadership and sportsmanship qualities.  Coach Bryce Watson states, "Jane is the starting setter, has a great volleyball IQ, and is a very effective server. She is a leader both on and off the court and is a great role model for the younger players on the team.  She gives 100% every game and practice, always striving for excellence".

McLean, in grade 11, currently maintains an academic average of 97%.
