Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Delainey Rigaux of the Glenlawn Lions hockey team.

Rigaux's exceptional performance this season has been pivotal in leading the Lions to challenging for first place in Division 1 of the MWHSHL. She has 23 points, 17 goals and 6 assists, in 12 games to lead the division in scoring.  Coach Brad Nechwediuk states, "Lainey's natural scoring talent, combined with her ability to make impactful plays, makes her a standout athlete and a key contributor to our team's success. Lainey's contribution to the Glenlawn Lions transcends her impressive statistics. Her versatility and strategic insight on the ice allow her to adapt and excel in various game situations, showcasing her comprehensive skillset. Her leadership qualities and exemplary sportsmanship have a profound influence on the team, fostering a culture of excellence and determination".
