Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Lachlan Cuthbert of the Pinawa/Lac Du Bonnet hockey team.

In 17 games played Cuthbert has 23 goals and 14 assists for 37 points.  In recent games, Lachlan has taken his performance to new heights, securing two consecutive hat tricks. Coach Shelby Juer states, "His enduring leadership as the team captain for the past two seasons of the Pinawa Panthers/Lac du Bonnet Charges co-op team, stands as a testament to his dedication, not only to our high school hockey team but also to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. As a leader both on and off the ice, Lachlan has consistently motivated his teammates to excel, demonstrating remarkable sportsmanship and a tireless work ethic". Cuthbert is also a leader for the Lac Du Bonnet Chargers basketball team leading them in minutes and points. He led the chargers to a championship at the Powerview tournament scoring 75 points in just 3 games.
