Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Kiera Mason-Vandel of the Sturgeon Heights Women's hockey team.

Mason-Vandel, captain for the Huskies, has been leading the team all season with her play. This week she took it to the next level with a 4 goal performance against St. John's Ravenscourt. Coach Erin Johnsrud states, "Down 3-1 going into the third period Kiera, who had already scored one goal, stepped up and scored two more to tie the game and force overtime. She added the fourth goal in overtime to seal the victory". 

This grade 12 student maintains an 84% academic average.
