Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Dante Dyck of the Garden Valley Zodiacs basketball team in Winkler.

In four games played this week, Dyck averaged 39 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists per game. Coach Danny Friesen states, "In a game against the #5 ranked Miles Mac Buckeyes, Dante broke his school’s single-game scoring record with a 56 point, 19 rebound, 7 assist performance".  On the season he has averaged 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists per game, while leading Garden Valley to an undefeated Zone 4 record.

In grade 12, he maintains an 80% academic average.
