Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Martha Lado of the Kildonan East Reivers basketball team.

Lado is a strong leader and role model for our Kildonan East athletics program.  She was recognized as a tournament All-Star at the Maples tournament where she led the team to a 3rd place finish.  She helped lead the Reivers to the finals of the KPAC basketball league play-offs, helping them earn a wildcard berth and 6th seed for the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Provincial AAAA Basketball Championships.  Athletic Director Karl Zborowsky states, "Martha's exceptional talent is evident on the court, where her skills seem almost innate. However, what truly distinguishes her is her work ethic. Martha's dedication to her craft is unmatched, evident in her pursuit of improvement both in games and practices. Martha's impact extends beyond her individual performance as she fosters a culture of teamwork, determination, and resilience, embodying the essence of what it means to be a true leader". 

She is an honour role student in grade 11.
