Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Stellan Chammartin of the Gabrielle-Roy Les Roys basketball team.

Chammartin a point guard, has been a force on both ends of the court averaging 41 points, 11 assists, 9 rebounds and 8 steals per game this season. He is the team captain and has led his team to an undefeated season in zone 13 games, 18-0 in tournament play and an overall 27-1 record. His efforts on the court led Les Roys to a zone 13 championship, 4 tournament titles and their 3rd consecutive Provincial Championship. Coach Matthew Chammartin states, "Stellan works extremely hard on his game taking advantage of every opportunity to further develop individually or as team. Stellan's energy, effort, and decision making on the court makes everyone around him better.  

This grade 11 student maintains a 94% academic average.
