Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial Scholarship

Sienna Driedger, Steinbach Regional Secondary School (Steinbach) – This athlete started to play volleyball at the age of 13, and her love for the sport has grown to something much deeper than just the enjoyment of playing the game. A stellar season in 2023, this left side player led her 17U Jr Bison club to a Provincial Championship in May where she was selected as MVP, was a finalist at 2023 Volleyball Manitoba Varsity High School Beach Provincials and champions in the 18U Volleyball Manitoba Beach League and Beach Provincials, captained her school team to the MHSAA AAAA Provincial Championship where she was selected as the tournament MVP. After the high school season she selected as a Volleyball Manitoba Graduating All-Star, named to the All-Manitoba Team, and selected as the high school player of the year. Academically, Sienna maintains a 95% overall high school GPA, and will be attending Trinity Western University this fall with the intentions of a degree in Psychology, and considering a Master's degree afterwards, depending on career path and opportunity. Outside of her own volleyball and classroom pursuits, Sienna is also a volunteer Children’s Teacher at her church, has coaches mini-soccer and mini-volleyball, and is a Link Crew Leader at her school, welcoming new students into their school throughout the year and assisting with the orientation day for grade 9 students.
