Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athletes of the Week are Jayci Best and Jack Bausman of the Carman Cougars badminton team.

This mixed doubles badminton team is having an outstanding Grade 12 season.  They've complied a record of 40-2 winning three tournaments in Carman, one in Northlands Parkway, while also finishing in the top 4 at the Maples tournament.  Coach James Ballantyne states, "As a team they show exceptional quickness on the court, play with precision and are true competitors."

Both are also well rounded student athletes. Jayci maintains an academic average of 95% while also participating in soccer, volleyball, basketball and track and field.  Jack maintains a 70% average while also participating in basketball, baseball and track and field.
