Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Connor Martin of the Wawanesa Warriors baseball team.

Martin has had a great start to his final year of high school baseball. In three games he had 14 plate appearances registering 12 at bats with 7 hits, 3 singles, 2 doubles, a triple, and a home run, registering 6 RBIs for a .583 AVG. In a game against Vincent Massey Brandon, he threw a 'Perfect Game' striking out 20 of 21 in a 98 pitch outing, the only other out recorded was a 4-3 ground out in the 6th inning. Coach Michael Reykdal states, "He has done a great job juggling his busy extra curricular schedule throughout the year. This past month he has spent it preparing for Badminton, Baseball and Track and Field."

In grade 12, he maintains an 80% academic average.
