Athlete of the Year

Megan Cyr of Lord Selkirk Regional Secondary School is the “AAAA” Female Athlete of the Year.  Megan was Captain of the Royals Volleyball and Basketball Teams.  The Volleyball team was successful in capturing its fourth consecutive Provincial Championship and the Basketball Team advanced to the Final four.  She was the #9 ranked Basketball Player, and the #1 ranked Volleyball player in the province.  Megan was selected to the Graduating All-Star for both volleyball and basketball.  She also participated in Track & Field (Long Jump, High Jump, 4 x 100m relay), and baseball.  She was selected as the “AAAA” Provincial Volleyball MVP, and Mike Burchuk Award for the Top Female Volleyball Player.  In the recent MILK Provincial Track & Field Championship, she participated in long jump and high jump.
