Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial Scholarship

Ozana Nikolic of the University of Winnipeg Collegiate is a 6’ power hitter with a 93% grade point average. This past season Ozana was selected as an all-star at the UW Tournament, was a player of the game and was MVP at the MHSAA AAA Provincials, and was selected as a MVA Graduating All-Star and to the All-Manitoba Team, while leading her team to the ‘AAA’ Provincial Championship. The school’s Dean describes her as one of those rare individuals who couples innate athletic and academic ability with an exemplary work ethic. Ozana has also played on the schools badminton team, qualifying for provincials, and played on the provincial beach volleyball team last summer. Ozana's extracurricular involvements are also impressive as she volunteers in services with inner city kids, teaches Sunday School at her church, volunteers in a soup kitchen, and plays piano at a retirement home.  Ozana plans on playing beach volleyball on the provincial team this summer, join the UW Wesmen next season and pursue a degree in Science, and eventually become a pediatric nurse.
